Soren DeNiz (they/he) is a multi-faceted communication artist. They are based in Pittsburgh, PA, where they were born and raised by their Mexican parents. Soren prides themself in their Latinx heritage and their queer identity, and often those perspectives show up as themes in Soren's work.
Soren's vision when they create is based on communication through the arts. They strive to add to their community, whether through geography or identity, by designing creative solutions to everyday problems. Through their design, they aspire to develop environmentally sustainable solutions, expand accessibility in the arts through creative opportunities, and enable connection through community.
While growing their professional career, Soren has both found and created opportunities to always push themselves and grow their creative process. Recently, that has included designing merchandise pro bono for Stonewall Sports Pittsburgh and Hampton Ultimate Club, being commissioned to write music for WYEP & WESA, providing translation and blog writing services to the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, and supporting fellow performance artists through their audio storytelling company, Glass Fox Productions.
